What do FZ6 riders graduate to in bikes?

The FZ6 is an interesting bike. It's a solid jack-of-all-trades bike that can adapt to a lot of different applications. Touring, commuting, track day... it does it all. This, along with price, is the reason I settled on the FZ6 when I was looking for a new bike. Problem is, the curse and the...

Has your bike ever hit the ground?

Went down on the left side entering a rotary, maybe 10-15 mph. Thankfully my hard luggage took the majority of the damage. Handlebar got bent, turnsignal and mirror got a little scraping. I have frame sliders on the bike, have since day 1, they didn't even touch the ground. Got new bars, new...

    Soft Luggage, Need Opinions!

I have the Ogio bags, but don't use them any longer. Really nice bags I thought, looked good on the bike, reasonably priced, expandable. I fastened them under the seat using the seat to keep them in place, but without some kind of bracket to support them and keep them in place, they swung around...

    FZ1 Handlebars or Bar risers?

Drew Terry, this post is great - thank you for posting photos. I am planning some comfort upgrades to my bike before next spring, primarily focused on the handlebars. I have a bad back and after a few days up in Vermont this fall it was really bothering me. I am pretty sure the forward lean...

    PA MSF and getting license

the MSF class is great. Just took it recently myself. No excuse not to take it, but certainly not in states where it is free (i'm assuming this is subsidized by the state?) We get $0 subsidies here in MA - cost me $300! Still, well worth it.

    Luggage???

i recently picked up the OGIO textile saddlebags. they velcro together under the seat, and provide a decent amount of storage, and they expand for a little extra if you need it. great to have some storage when running about. i think they look pretty nice too.

    New member welcome thread..

Hi All, I'm back to motorcycle riding after a 5+ year hiatus, my previous bike being a '77 Kawasaki KZ 750 that I rode in college. Monday I picked up my new '09 FZ6 and I am already happier with it than I imagined. These forums are a great resource - thanks all for the info and see you...
