Thanks for the info....I'm still a rookie around motorcycles and I didnt know sucha thing even existed....wonder what the yammy ones look like on the bike.....Wolfmans look good. Not sure if Im gonna ride when its that cold anyways so I dont think I'll be needin' these.
I got them in matching colours of the bike (2007 red ofcourse) when I bought the bike. I used them during last winter. They helped a little but I was glad to take the off when spring started.
For that price and the looks after placing them on the bike, I would have thought Yamaha should have come up with something much better looking.
I think that those aren't quite the same thing as traditional hand guards. It's more like a fairing extension that directs wind away from the handlebars.....check out this thread for some pics of what I'm talking about:
I think they're fairly good looking, but expensive. And I'm pretty sure dedicated hand guards would do a better job against the Winter air. I saw these online once but had no idea where, so thanks for finding them!
Those Powermadds are nice, I have the Acerbis and it works great especially in highway driving. I was contemplating in getting the OEM type that was mentioned, but I would rather save some more and get some other mod. Or a new OGK helmet.
