anyone used this FE or these "ultra bright" 14 LED turn signals?

I have that FE, just without the side tabs on the bottom. For turn signals I have little ones that the license plate bolts into. The main problem I had was lighting for the plate. I ended up putting an LED within a screw in that center hole. It doesn't light the plate too well, but I asked a cop and at least in my state the law simply states there must be one, not that it has to light the plate  I'll take some pics tonight (while I install my new front turn signals :D).

You gotta' love the way some laws are written...

I have a pair of those signals on my FAZR6 FE. They're really bright and get people's attention pretty quick with the faster blink rate.

I'm wondering what color the LEDs are when lit since it looks like only the side tab is orange. I think my state DOT only likes red and orange for signals...

they light up orange of course:D

I used the same F.E. with mini signal lights. You may need to open up the slots for the signal lights to fit thourgh. The connection tab spacing on mine was a little oversize. Looks great, but I had to cut and solder the original wiring for the new signals lights. I also bought a plate light but have not connected it yet, I ride mostly during the day back and fourth to work. I think you will like your bike without the fender. I like the silver on the FZ6. Ken

did you buy that linces plat off of ebay? i think i have the same one, i was trying to buy those tur signal but was wondering if they would mount to that plate w/o any mods?

DO NOT BUY THIS FE KIT FROM CREESE ON EBAY.
i waited over three weeks for him to tell me it was out of stock...
so he refunded my money instead of sending me a FE kit...
he still has more of them listed out there even though he has ZERO in stock.

I was wondering how you got your LED's to stay put on the FE kit as the holes on the side are designed for the factory blinkers. And the factory blinkers are waaaay larger than the aftermarket ones. Did you have to cover up the openings somehow?

I had the same problem on the FZR6 FE. I just used large washers on both sides to sandwich it.

Same here...unfortunately, I installed a "less expensive" set of LED flashers initially, and when tightening up the nuts that secure the flasher stalks to the FE kit, I pulled the stalk out of the flashers....the stalks are literally glued into the rubber shrouds, btw. Cheap garbage. You need to spend at least $50 to $100 a set for decent quality. I replaced the cheeeep ones with "Moto-LED" flashers, which are Made in Japan. The website on the package is: DRC PRODUCTS
I got these ones with the clear lens. Nice and bright, very noticeable.

they make a turn signal adapter plates for this issue i bought it for mine and works great each side has 3 plates one spacer and 2 plates shapped like the hole you are covering up. They should run about $12.
