Hi Folks, just joined the forum. The good wife bought me a Suzuki GZ125 for my 50th in June, so I took a few lessons, passed my theory in July and my practical at the beginning of August. The wee marauder was a lovely bike - I put 1200 miles on it - but I wanted something with a little bit more poke, especially for going two up. Sooo, I bought a 2003 Fazer last week (8500 miles on it). It's one of the red ones but I'm loving it!

I live right up near the north coast (Bushmills Whiskey and the Giant's Causeway), so there are some great coastal roads and scenery. Pity the nights are getting shorter and the weather is on the way downhill.

Anyway, great forum, I'll try to post some pics soon.

All the Best.

Thanks for the welcome.

Mikenbern - I intend to be careful. Speed isn't a requirement for me on a bike, just enough to keep me out of the cagers way. 50 to 60 mph is quite fast enough, besides - technically I'm restricted to 45mph for a year.

Stike_force - If you get over to the North let me know, hopefully we could hook up for a bit of craic.

Willie

Welcome to the forum, Willie! :)
Northern Ireland had/has some great roads for ear 'oling around on a nice sports bike. One of my favourite biking memories is of riding my '68 Tiger 100ss around the (closed) Dundrod circuit way back in '73.
I lived in Lisburn for a couple of years after I left the army.
You got the fastest colour, btw... :D
