Alright, get ready to read what happens when a young kid goes in to buy his first major purchase, doesnt negociate, doesnt ask the price...I get to the dealer after finally finding one who had a red 2006 in Aug 2006 (i didnt look too hard either  ) anyway i get there, see the bike, and i say i want it. 1-2 hours later i ride it home. Only after i realize i pretty much got raped and set myself up for it. So heres my invoice/contract, i cant believe i signed it...
Cash Price of Bike: $7946.88
Document Preparation Fee: $45.00
Sales Tax: $619.37
I added the dealers Extended Warranty for 5 years: $499.99
License Fees: $114.00
California Tire Fee: $3.50
OTD $9227.75 Who can beat that!
This is why i always go with my buddies who are first time buyers, i paid the price, no one should ever pay...:(
I financed it all, $0 down. They also screwed me (well i let them screw me...) on the finance. In the end when all is paid off i would have prolly been able to buy 2 FZ6's at MSRP cash...

Like around $250/month. But the way they financed me was one is a good loan from HSBC at like 13% and the other i dunno how they did a Parts Card for $5000 at 17% and used that as a down payment to get me approved for the other loan, but that parts card i pay interest until its paid off, so minimum payment will not help me much as i get screwed by the intrest...
The worst is that 3 months later they had a blue 2006 for $4999 :(
All i can say is live and learn! I love my bike  But they got me big time...

Just picked up my 08 (Raven) on June 14th for $6950 OTD from a small shop in Tomah, WI. She knocked $500 off of MSRP and didn't charge me any freight/setup. Might have been because I am Military (Army). Shop is 15 miles from small (but busy) Army Reserve Post.

2007 Red FZ6

Price: $6,499.00 OTD
Location: L.A. Aprillia Yamaha

This is a no haggle dealership with possibly the lowest prices in California. Not sure about the service, but they seem pretty knowledgable.

All,

I had to lose a great friend to get my 07 FZ6. He left it to me after he lost his 5 year battle with cancer.:(

Rest in peace Tom Eden....Thank you for your generosity and friendship.:Flash:

I just got mine at the first of the month. Silver 04 with 4700 miles for $3300. It was $3500, but it had a screw in the back tire so he took $200 off. I think it was around $280 for taxes and title, but i paid that to the county. Now that I got the new pilot road 2's on it (front and back), I think I'm at around $4000 with a year of insurance on it.

I got mine, a brand new 2008 Raven, for $6200 OTD. I bought it in TN so I have to pay taxes in KY. It still was a pretty good deal though.

This was on 05/31/08

You know you are actually riding 2 up! Probably the most thoughtful post I have read so far on this forum. Yes, sounds like he was a great friend. RIP.
