My bike never did it before I installed the gear indicator Wolfman,and other people on SBN had the same thing,bikemonkey thinks it only happens on a small number of bikes.To fix it you just solder a diode in the green wire of the indicator(neutral wire)and all fixed.Acumen are sending me one.

EDIT:Just remembered my bike has had the glow before,but only after I had washed it and got to much water around the ignition , used to dry out pretty quick though.
Well i have been riding my bike around in the rain lots & lots in the last week...have been thinking of installing paddles...lol! so that might explain why my neutral light has started playing funny buggers!
Will still ask about it when i go for a service, and will mention the diode thing.
As for the gear indicator, i am going to go for a blue readout, as that will match the colour of my instrument panel readout at night.
My bike's gonna feel like a bloody fighter jet with all this stuff stuck under my screen - instrument panel, GPS, and now the gear indicator.
And yes, i cant wait to get this thing and install it...drives me nuts sometimes not knowing which gear i am in, especially on rapid downshifts...sometimes you let out that clutch thinking your in 3rd, and your in 2nd, and you get more engine braking than you want, and the bike gets all squirrelly on you, and is ready to rocket out of the corner when you apply the throttle, as rev's are very high...when you really only want to accelerate gently.
I think this is more of a problem on the FZ6 because the gear box is a very "porridgey", and doesnt really give you a distinct click through the gear lever, when you work it hard.
Am hoping that changing my oil to fully synthetic, when i get the bike serviced this week, will help to sharpen up the gear box.
