Need Help Oil Filter Question

Hi everyone .
New to the forum. This will be my first post.

I have a 2005 Yamaha FZ6 with a swapped engine from an '08 FZ6.

I'm getting my Coolant and Forks repaired and wanted to change my oil and filter while it's in the shop because I smell a faint fuel smell in the oil.

Anywho, my question is: What oil filter do I buy? My research has told me that I buy according to the year of the engine (2008) but Google hasn't been very helpful at pinpointing the exact filter that I need.

I can't find a particular part # by inspecting the exterior of the filter that's on here so I'm pretty stumped at what to order exactly.

I'd prefer OEM but a quality aftermarket will do. I understand that I'll need a new crusher and oil as well.

Any help would be appreciated. Also posted a picture of my just to show you guys what I'm working with . Thanks for having me!

Yamaha OEM oil filter part number for a 2008 FZ6: 5S7-13440-00-00

Different model years will use a different prefix part number…but they are all the exact same filter

After more research, I ordered the 5GH-13440-80-00 part number.

Instead of a new crush washer, try one of these. https://www.fumotousa.com/ I put one on my 05 many years ago and it it great for a number of reasons. First, draining the oil is now a simple and clean operation. You can attach some tubing and pipe the old oil into a container without dropping the plug into the catch pan and have the oil splash while its draining. The second reason is that should you accidently overfill the sump, you can drain small amounts out slowly and accurately. And of course you'll never buy another crush washer again. And lastly, there have been many owners who have cracked the oil pan by over-torquing the oil drain. You will never touch that bolt again. I LOVE mine.

Normally fuel mixed with oil is caused by too much idle time at cold start, it's better to just warm up 20 seconds and go. And also piston rings failing to seal completely.
