Kawasaki ups the ante; 250-mph est. top speed, street-oriented H2 guesstimated $30K, track-oriented H2R guesstimated $50K.
I don't think anyone's built a bike with a turbocharger, and they jumped right over to a supercharger, don't know why.
Love reading about machinery like this, but have no burning desire to own one. ;)

Looks part BMW and not much, if any modding needed. With the super charger Vs turbo, they should have been able to tame the power delivery curve.

Would be a ball to test ride. An upright riding position option(street, light to light bike) would be good.

I really liked the Sazuk "B-Kings" POWER (a friend had one I worked on and got to break in), but was butt ugly and uncomfy (ergo's way too tight).

Saw it at motorcycle live the other week. Ugly as all hell, worse than the Busa (which I'm sure is Japanese for "whiches nose"). They fired it up in the main hall. The noise. Oh the noise!! It's a fire breathing monster, that's for sure. 325bhp according to the dyno it was on.

For the future this means more economical engines, with the same performance characteristics of engined we know now. For example, Honda have a patent in on a supercharged version of the NC750 engine. 80mpg and a ~3 second 0-60? Yes please.

Holy crap!!! That's more than my mid sized SUV(and most cages)!!

I might last a week on it before getting killed or loosing my drivers license..

That NC750 would sure be interesting to ride, I test rode the one out right now, didnt like it at all. It might have been because I'm used to the FZ6, but I hit the rev limiter every time I shifted, it redlines at like 6500 and never gave me a good fast take off feeling, This of course would change quite a bit with the addition of a supercharger.

6500 redline? <snicker> I have a car that redlines at 8100 rpm. [emoji41]

Is the NC really as bad as all that? I'd heard it was boring, and knew it wouldn't be all glitze and glamour, cause that not what it's designed for. But I was hoping to get an MT09 Tracer as a "sunny days, fun ridding and touring" bike, and when the FZ dies get an NC as the next work horse. 10000 mile service intervals and 80mpg is very attractive when you're doing 18000 miles a year.

Only 10k intervals? That does not sound all that impressive.

Considering the FZ6 is only 4000 or 6000 (depending which side of the Atlantic you're on), it sounds pretty good to me.

So other than oil changes, what on the FZ6 has 4k intervals? That 4k was for Dino oil. You could easily extend that to 10k by using synthetic oil.

I get that you really love the Fazer, but I'm not going in to a long drawn out explanation of service intervals for you. I have a policy of not feeding trolls.

I was not being a troll. I don't have the owner's manual or service manual with me, but whatever. [emoji57]
