This is the header of the homepage of one of my local Yamaha dealers.

What's the ringed bike? It looks like an FZ-8 but that's not available here... should I sue them for false advertising or do they know something that the Yamaha importers don't??

Andy, that def looks like an FZ8 and that color is available as a 2012 model here in Canada.

WTF is up with Yamaha??? Why does the US only get the matte gray/black version of the FZ8 and not this BEAUTIFUL throwback scheme???

It makes no sense and they do this all the time. Send one color scheme to one country but then give all these other options to other countries. It especially doesn't make sense when those two countries are NEIGHBORS!

Don't get me wrong, I love the matte gray version, but this version is just gorgeous. :rockon:

Hmm. I just figured we weren't getting it based on the fact that it's listed on the Canadian Yamaha site, but not on the US site. The only option is the matte gray on the US site. But I hope you're right! I'd definitely consider this red/white scheme over the matte.

They have them here in the UK £7500 and 0% finance, very nearly bought one but backed out at the last minute

Relax, it's just an underpowered FZ1.... Weighs nearly the same as an FZ1 with less power... Yamaha missed an opportunity to up the FZ6... The chose to downsize an FZ1 instead... Sales of the FZ8 are poor in Canada...
