Is this a good move Westy ??

It's a ride, and it 's in Moto GP....was not as if the boy was doing well in Moto 2...I reckon if i was Westy, i would be stoked!

What happened? Last I hear, he was in MotoGp, now no mention of him in the paddock at all? Did the team drop him, or drop themselves before they even started?

So, it was more like, "Congratulations Anthony. We'd love for you to ride for us................................. providing you can come up with $500,000 by January 1".

Haga bought his Suzuki BSB ride today :( Ant was sooo close to signing on the dotted line

Brighter note, Kawasaki might sign him - their rider is out injured

And with that news im off to my MCN fantasy team to see if it has been updated

Well, I added Westy to my BSB fantasy team... BAD MOVE.

He's not racing in the BSB now....

The 2012 season has yet to get underway, and Anthony West has already experienced a year's worth of twists and turns. After first landing a deal to ride the Team Speedmaster CRT in MotoGP, the Australian saw it fall through due to lack of funding, at which point he announced his retirement from racing. That state of inactivity didn't last long, however, as he was hired by Team BMW Supersonic to contest the British Superbike series.

Surely this was the end of his adventurous winter, no? Not by a long shot. Without having raced a single round in BSB, West decided to leave his new ride in favor of Moto2 team QMMF, replacing his compatriot Damian Cudlin.

"I'm happy to be back in Moto2 – West said – I'm sorry for Damian, and I understand his situation better than anyone else. I'd also like to clarify that I was contacted by Team QMMF only after their relationship with Cudlin had already ended."

Hopefully this will be the last twist in West's tale, and we will see him line up on the Moto2 grid next week at Qatar.

Personally, I think he should have stayed with the BMW guys in BSB!!!

He always always always has to go & upset someone & burn another bridge along the way :shakehead: Seriously Westy , you attitude has destroyed a promising career :spank:

Im with you Dave , I reckon the BSB ride was a much better deal

Go Westy!

Let's get behind the mad bastard some more, he is just as likely to win a race or two.

Nobody can deny the blokes talent but I wish he would take a ride where he didnt need it to rain to be competitive

Thats why I like the idea of him riding in the BSB , it always rains in the UK :BLAA: & we all know he could ride a donkey to a championship in the wet :D
