I think there might be a lesson in there some where?
Come on dude, 15 points in two years. Your very lucky to have the option to do the defensive driving course. That amount of points would be a perma ban for two years and a re-take of the driving test.
Still you are blessed with luck, I'm sure you will get through it.

Man, WTF? That sucks!! How long will you have to go without a license?

I thought you could only take the defensive driving course once every 5 years for point reduction. When was the last time you took it?

Your right about you can only take it once every 5 years for points reduction but this would be court ordered so it wont reduce any points just allow me to get my licence back...and I will get it back as soon as I take the class and pay the reinstatement fee, or I would have to wait untill 4/30/12 and retake the driving test. I say 4/30/12 because that is actually the date that they revoked my licence, the date of my last ticket

Ya ya I know but sometimes it seems like if it wasnt for bad luck I wouldnt have any at all. Well unfortunatly I create most of my luck but all those points were tickets that I got in my car. A total of 5 tickets worth 3 points a piece, 2 were from cops profiling me when I was driving my monte carlo (pullin me over for not wearing my seatbelt when it was on the whole time) and once they realized that 1 gave me a ticket for "failure to maintain lane" he said I crossed the line and the other for not coming to a complete stop at a stop Sign that was 3 miles back. And one came from a minor wreck where a lady pulled out in front of me and I hit her from behind. I dont know how it is in other states, or countries but here in georgia even if someone pulled out in front of you if you hit them from behind its your fault no matter what, even when the lady said it was her fault I still got the ticket for "following to closely "....sorry for the rant but....well I do t guess I need to explain

I guess that the best/worst thing about the U.S. (and certainly explains why we are in the shape we are in), you can do anything it seems, short of murdering someone, and just pay a fine and take a class. I have a cousin who pays 7 or 8 thousand for insurance a year  and hes currently rebuilding his mustang.

I don't mean to be a dink but what the he11 do you have to do to get 15 points in 2 years? At some point you've got to realize that slowing down might be a good alternative to bending over every few months:spank:

Thats the sad part none were for speeding and the other 2 was when I was in my truck at a red light behind a bunch of cars and was trying to turn left so I crossed the double yellow line to go up to the left hand turning lane passed 3 cars that were waiting to go straight and just so happed that a cop was also at that light he pulled me over and gave me 2 tickets, 1 for improper passing and the other for failure to maintain lane

Wow that sux... I just did that this morning on the bike. I might think twice before doing it again tho.

I'll be honest, when I read the first line, my first thought was "I wouldn't want this jacka** anywhere near me on the road", but after reading the thread it seems like you should just move somewhere that the cops aren't total d-bags.

The class isn't really that bad. I took it once to get out of a speeding ticket, and it actually helped me realize that there's no point in driving a car that fast on public roads. I don't speed at all any more when I'm in a car, because it just isn't that much fun after being on a bike, and it's far more dangerous than is necessary just to get somewhere.

Good luck.

Just FYI, MSF BRC2 (used to be called ERC.. experienced rider course, now called BRC2.. same thing.. still get to use your own bike and it's not that expensive) counts as defensive driving course :D

You should move to Florida. Not the greatest road to ride but you need to drive quite stupid fast here to get pulled over. I lived in GA for 2 years long time ago...

I wish that was the case but here in ga it has to be a state choosen corse at a state certified facility for my situation I actually just called and set it up for tomorow 9 to 4 and I imagine by 4 I will want to shoot myself, I have actually taken 3 before so I know how incredibly boring they are one when I first got my license to lower my insurance rate, one shortly after for a reckless driving situation where I could keep my license and one more for insurance a couple years ago, but ya I used to be a complete jacka$$ on the road always doin stupid stuff wich I thought was fun but ive calmed down a lot and drive normal for the last few years it just seems that trouble finds me....especially when I was driving my old monte carlo (that I traded for this bike) it seemed like I was getting pulled over once a week when I doing nothing wrong...just where I live Atlanta, just about the only people u see driving monte carlos or other g-body cars are drug dealers or some sort of criminal so when I say they profiled me ya its the truth not just someone else crying its not my fault

That's too bad (about it not counting for you). I was planning on taking the ERC on Sunday Sept 11th, I was gonna ask if you wanted to go too.. Only bad part is it's not offered close to Atlanta (Lawrenceville for me), it's at N. Georgia Tech in Clarkesville.

Oh well, at least you'll get your license back pretty fast - you driving your self there, right? :)

I remember GA cops. I grew up there til I was 24, and had hair down my back from high school on. I got pulled over a lot for no damned reason too.

I know how you feel sort of. When i use to drive my accord around, just because it looked nice i always got pulled over for stupid reasons.

Got pulled over twice because they wanted to get my info and ask if i owned the car........... I guess if my car did get stolen i would want cops pulling any one suspicious over. Doesnt it say if the car is stolen when they run the plate though.........

Got pulled over behind a pack of fast cars that flew by me speeding, because my driver side window was up about a 1/2 inch and had tint on it. It sucks getting profiled.

Yeah, I got pulled over in Stone Mountain one night about 2 moths ago. Turns out they were pulling everyone over that was driving down that particular sidewalk that night. Profiling is so wrong!

LOL

Lol good ole ron white...but ya here in ga alot of the leo's are di¢ks especially where I live wich I cant blame them cause there is also lots of drug trafficing where im at and where that is problems follow but I always try to be just as nice as I can be to them even if they arnt, it has got me out of a few tickets but then again I have created all my problems and cant blame it on anyone but myself (sorry another rant) I just got a lot on my mind
