Cortech Saddle Bags

Just bought a set of Cortech saddle bags, I already have the seat bag. Was wondering if any of you have this set up and how well it works for you.

I have the saddles/ no seat bag. Only complaint is the rain fly is sized for when the bags are expanded, so they flap quite a bit unless you tighten very well, easy hook up, tons of room, just waiting to get to the seat bag to complete the trio...

I had them and they worked great, very well made they survived a bad crash! Sold them a few weeks ago.

I got a cheap trunk out of ebay for $88.00, Moto Centic soft bags (expendable) and work fine. I build this rack for the trunk and support the saddlebags. I drop off the rack to be powder coated this morning (+$30)

Grand total.. about $100.00 of material, $30.00 for powder coat, $88.00 + $15.00 for the trunk with shipping, Moto Centric around $125.00 few months ago. So, $360.00 for the whole kit with a bit of time. Happy with my set up. It would have cost me +$100 just to get the rack (SW-Motec trunk + side rack as ref.) :rockon:

I've been using the sport tail bag and saddle bags for the past 5 years and they've held up fantastically. I use the tail bag on a daily basis and the saddle bags intermittently for weekend trips.:thumbup:

I use the tailbag daily too! We, my fiance and I are planning a trip in Aug and need the extra storage space. I love the tailbag and I'm sure I will love the saddle bags too! Thanks for sharing!

I have the saddle bags...they work great. When I do my long trips I camp so after I place the saddle bags on the bike I can tie on my sleeping bag, tent, tarp, etc and cinch them down tight (See my avatar...that is me loaded down) I can fit enough food/clothing for a week in the Cortech bags.

But you also use the same pair of underwear and t-shirt for 4 days: front ways, back ways, inside out front, inside out back :BLAA:
