This morning on the way to work (I was about 5 minutes into my journey) I saw a learner motorcyclist (with a L plate) stopped at a parking layby along the side of the road. This guy had his helmet off and was looking slightly distressed so I stopped to ask what the problem was. Anyway it seemed he had lost his instructor (and radio contact), but in 10 minutes time he was due to take part of his motorcycle test. He didn't come from Alkmaar (he was from Haarlem about half an hour away) and he had no idea where he had to be. Firstly I rang my wife to get the number of his riding school, then I rang his instructor to ask where he had to be, then I got him to follow me to the test area, no filtering this time ;). Anyway I got him there in time for his test  I really hope he managed to pass (he was clearly very nervous and getting lost didn't really help matters), I should have asked for his number so I could find out later, but I also had to get off to work. I wished him luck and went on my way.

Good on you

Most people these days just drive/ride past ( proably thinking "not my problem").

Hope Karma repays you for this.

Mac.

Your a true Gentleman Martin , Well done mate

I cant help but stop anytime I see a fellow rider that looks in need of a hand , you never know when they are going to pass you when you need one :D

Thats what I like about the camaraderie of m/cyclists, cyclists do the same,.....pity car drivers just give you sh1t for blocking the lane

Sent from the phone: sorry 'bout my spileng, fat fingers...you know!

 They call this sort of generosity "Pay It Forward". If everyone in the world had that kind of heart there would be no conflicts.
