Naked to Fazer

Hello all

Iv been looking around this forum for a while and this being my first post is because I cant seam to find what i need and I hope you all can help.

I have a 2008 FZ6-S2 that I really like and don't want to change even though its done over 15,000miles now but riding in the winter is getting a chore due to not having enough wind protection so I would like to Fazer my FZ6-N.

What I need help in is what parts do I need and wheres the best place to get them from!

I spoke to my dealer and they mentioned that its Oh Ouch would be expensive and would rather try and sell me a new bike.

It's probably near $1000USD for just the plastics and the fairing stay. You'll need the new headlight too for about $300. And the bracket the fairing stay bolts into. Then probably $300-400 for labor if you're not doing it yourself.

If you were in the US, I'd say Ron Ayers or Bikebandit.com. Ron Ayers is cheaper, bike bandit's customer service is top notch.

i just bought a puig screen for mine, which helps a bit, especially if you tuck under it

other than that then quite a lot of the fazer guys want to turn their bike into nakeds, so you might be able to arrange a swap. I know fazil wanted to go down this route, but they might want some money for their fairing

Yes that's right. I seriously think of that conversion.
But my bike is a S1 version

I got just the main naked bracket nothing else, i am eager to collect the pieces one by one.
I would like to keep the fairing against going back. But when i read in this forum about naked converters, it seems like no one wants to get back to fairings.

The color of the bike is silver gray. Here are some pictures of the bike.

My dealer wanted around £1000 if they did it themselves and then tried to offer me an FZ8 Fazer like I had thousands lying around to throw a them!
I think i can get most of the parts from the web/EBay I just don't know what brackets etc are needed under the faring (does anyone have a part number diagram I could look at?)

I do see that going Naked is
Popular in the states but nearly 90% of the time UK weather is windy and not that warm especially as I leave for work at 04:30

a lot of people here did the naked conversion, so I assume they have all the parts you need to do the fared conversion. Put up a new thread "WTB: ..."
