Flooding in Australia?

I wasnt sure if I read the news over here in USA but I hear there was some major flooding in Australia. I was just checking up on the Aussies and seeing how everyone is doing with this or if it has affected anyone. Like I said though, I might of read it wrong.

It would only be our Nsw & Queensland friends that would be affected by the flooding....but by all accounts it sounds pretty nasty!

But unfortuneatly, it is part of nature's plan...we have had a horrendous drought in other parts of Australia, and this lot of flooding, which follows unseasonable heavy rain in other parts of Ausatralia, has helped to "break" the drought, and get river systems working again...

So, whilst one part of Australia suffers miserably, other parts of Australia will benefit greatly from the massive amount of water tipped into our river's.

Dont get us South Aussie's started on that issue!

The thing is though, will we get to the point where allocation soesnt come into it, will we ever get a situation where there is enough water for all...i think i might be dreaming!

Yeah, Western Australia just had our driest winter on record. Even our water tank is 1/2 empty - with just the 2 of us, we've never had it that low before. If we had kids, we would be in trouble with that.

Appears that all but a few deaths in QLD have be caused by stupidity :spank: :spank: We had 2 idiots here last week jumped into the Bremer River & tried riding air matresses to Brisbane :shakehead: then suprise suprise one of the rescuers had to be rescued :spank: Then when Kel & I went driving 2 days later we spotted 4 kids pumping up a dinghy , call the cops & saw in the paper that they were charged with 4 counts of public nuisance & 4 count of recklessly endangering life , hope they get the book thrown at them :thumbup:

The good thing about these QLD floods is that Western NSW , North Western Vic & the whole of Eastern SA benefit for months & months & arguably years on end as the water flows down the largest combined river system in Australia :thumbup:

Its not all doom & gloom , the clean up is harsh , the loss of life/property is tragic but the benefits later on are immeasurable :thumbup:

There are a few around but they cost a lot of $$$$ to run.

They aren't very popular.

Not very popular at all , believe me :spank: It caused all sorts of drama when this monstrosity ruined a billion $$$$ coastline & now has rusted from the inside out & doesnt work :spank:
