Well as most of you know I saw METALLICA play in Brisbane a few weeks ago :rockon: :rockon: so I thought i'd share some stats & facts I found on the net about the very show I attended :rockon: :rockon:
•This was the 171st show on the World Magnetic Tour and the 52nd performance in 2010.
•This was the sixth time that Metallica had performed in Brisbane.
•This was the third of three consecutive performances in Brisbane.
•This was the first time that a non-Death Magnetic song appeared in the second slot of the setlist during a full-production indoor arena gig. The band normally opens up with the one/two combo of That Was Just Your Life and The End of the Line or That Was Just Your Life and Cyanide. They broke tradition tonight and opened up with That Was Just Your Life and The Four Horsemen.
•This was the ninth time that Metallica performed The Thing That Should Not Be since September of 2008. This was only the second time this song was performed in 2010.
•This was the first time in over seventeen years that The Unforgiven was performed in Brisbane. It was last played here on March 29, 1993.
•This was only the second time that I Disappear was performed on the World Magnetic Tour, which began in October of 2008. It was last performed on September 28, 2009 in San Antonio, TX.
•This was the first time that No Leaf Clover was performed in Brisbane and the tenth time it was performed on the World Magnetic Tour.
•This was the first time that Orion was performed in Brisbane and only the 27th time that the 24-year old song had been played live.
•This was the first time that Blitzkrieg was performed in Brisbane.
•This was the first time that My Apocalypse occupied the second to last slot in the setlist. This slot has previously been occupied by songs off of Kill ‘Em All, Ride the Lightning, and Garage Inc.
•Metallica performed 18 songs tonight from 8 different albums and 1 motion picture soundtrack: Kill ‘Em All (2 songs), Ride the Lightning (2 songs), Master of Puppets (3 songs), ...And Justice for All (2 songs), The Black Album (4 songs), Garage, Inc. (1 song), S&M (1 song), M:I 2 (1 song) and Death Magnetic (2 songs)
•Over the course of the three shows in Brisbane, Metallica performed 40 different songs. Only seven songs (Life, Sad, One, Puppets, Nothing, Sandman, Seek) were performed at all three gigs.
•The 40 different songs came from 9 different albums and 1 motion picture soundtrack: Kill ‘Em All (5 songs), Ride the Lightning (5 songs), Master of Puppets (6 songs), ...And Justice for All (4 songs), The Black Album (5 songs), ReLoad (2 songs), Garage, Inc.
