MotoGP: Mika Kallio is out - Carlos Checa stepping in.

I don't know what happened to Mika Kallio. He seemed to be on track to be a competitive rider last year when he sat in for Casey. This year has been a disaster and he's lost his ride.

So it looks like he's out after Australia, and former MotoGP rider Carlos Checa will step in.

If Checa features in the results at Phillip Island it will be VERY odd as he is only racing at Estoril and Valencia..... :spank:

It was inevitable since Kallio had been under performing, and not really giving Pramac any airtime. The performance issue could of course be a supply problem since Espargaró is also down the order.
But the Ducati is still improved over last year and he is not a rookie, this is making my head hurt

Anyway now Dorna is going to have a big problem considering the HUGE scandinavian market that they are now going to lose with him out off the races.
Last time motogp was mentioned in the danish news was about 5 years ago when Rossi had a crash.
Mind is was in the silly season, and they had absolutely nothing to make news about.
Maybe they will buy him into another team to keep us happy.

Gonna be interesting to see what Checa can pull off, hopefully he will give a good performance.

And if someone would give Kallio a chance to try out the other bikes i.e Yamaha I'm sure he would perform a lot better.

however it seems they both suffer from Ducati frontend syndrom.

Quiet amazed about Barbera having finished the second most races only trailing Lorenzo.

And Taku, for sure Kallio would do a better job on another bike(maybe not Suzuki), but now I'm afraid that may not happen.
Unless somebody is willing looks back before the 2010 season, and see what he really is capable off.
Maybe he could go to Moto2 and do an Elias, would help get people to give him more backing.. It is after all better to be #1 in Moto2 than being last in MotoGP.
