I've been a devote Aerostich owner since about 1991.. My first Roadcrafter 2 pc. suit was sold due to closet shrinkage about 6 years after I bought it, for $100 less than I paid for it..
Right now, I have an old Darien Jacket and a fairly new Darien Jacket, as well as a pair of Darien pants and a pair of AD1 pants that I got cheap.. All waterproof, impact padded, and they're American made quality products with a great company that stands behind them.. My old Darien jacket is going in for service this winter, getting rewaterproofed, retaped, and cleaned.. Cost for this service is about $40 plus shipping to Duluth.
I know.. The stuff isn't cheap.. But you get what you pay for.. My older Darien jacket is closing in on 10 years old, and has about 120,000 miles on it.. I wore it to work today.. I wore it on a 250 mile ride last night to go buy my FZ6:rockon:
Find me a Chinese made jacket that's still around, and sound to use after 5 years and 50,000 miles.. I wish you luck with your search..
Oh, and the photo was 4 years ago, above Copper Harbor, MI..
Aerostich store in Duluth over 4th of July weekend.. Same bike, but I was using my newer jacket..
