WOW, presuming he knows the M-1 well as a test rider, I can see some reason to it, I guess?? Should be an interesting three rounds...
Sounds like a good plan for Yamaha. And another funny name to yell at the TV on Sunday nights

Stupid rookie rule. Even if Yamaha could have put Young American Ben on it, Rossi would have blocked any such move.
Its bad enough for Rossi before his crash that Lorenzo is clearly his equal and will not back down (well done Spanish George :thumbup, he wouldn't want Spies making an impression on his own bike. Would seriously weaken negotiations with Yamaha in the coming months.

Sounds great...gives you bloke a chance to show his stuff, and puts that bike back on a very small grid of 17 bikes!
I hope he rides the wheels off it, and gives a few of the established Moto GP boys a bit of "hurry up".

And you never know, could turn into a full time gig for Yoshi. That's how David Coulthard got into his ride in F1.....

No facts, just a healthy suspicion that underneath the #11 fairing was all of or parts of the #46 bike. I love Ben Spies, and it might just help explain his great podium finish last weekend. If I was Yamaha it's what I would have done. No doubt Ben should be on one of the full factory bikes next year, possibly the Doctors? What a great way to prepare Him?
