Er_1 bike wont start... battery? PLZ HELP!

Bike is a 06 Yamaha Fz6

When I try to start my bike, it makes this rapid clicking noise by the battery. It sounds kinda like when your car battery needs to be charged. Also on the gauge console it shows "Er_1" any ideas??!?!?! please help this is my first bike and I have only got to ride it a few times!

Somebody was nice enough to point this out to me. I would start with checking the battery though.

That was me....

Also, I'd check the battery both voltage and do a load test on it. Most automotive stores/Walmart will check it for free.. Sounds like the battery, especially if its original.

So I charged my battery and my bike started right up!! Thanks for the advice!

Should I replace my battery now? or how long do you think it might last? I think it died because it was in storage for about 6 months

Fully charge it and get it LOAD TESTED. That will tell you if its good or not..
