Dennis - btw, how's life been on the R6, now that you have had it for a couple months?
OT:
It took perhaps 2 weeks before I could do fast turns (i.e., fast for my skill level) as fast on the R6 as I could on the FZ6. Eventually, I got to the same level as on my FZ6; now I can turn faster than on the FZ6 -- not sure it's the bike or just me getting a little better.
This past month has been good since I learned how to "rest" on the bike and now can go a long way without sore legs from being on my toes all the time. I haven't driven my cruiser in a week because I feel like home on the R6 now and love the speed and precision cornering.
I'm still learning how to do slow speed parking maneuvers. I learned recently that full lock means it's hard to use the front brake; I learned to not use the front brake at slow parking lot speeds (funny, I think that's what I was taught -- I just forgot and now it's obvious

).
The trackday last Monday taught me a lot about how fast you can really turn the bike and two basic lessons (look where you want to go and you can pick up 4-5mph of speed in turns by not looking at the speedo :spank

; pretty basic but the effect of those basics is substantially more pronounced on the track.
Now, I'm learning how to slow down and cruise on the bike so I can enjoy the day and ride a different way instead of always feeling obligated to crank it and go through turns as fast as possible.
This 15T sprocket idea has come up on the R6 as the low end torque is not that great (quite livable but could be improved). I think FZ6 with 15T up front felt better. I thought about 15T on the R6 but I don't want to lose any gas mileage -- R6 gets maybe 38mpg stock vs. the FZ6 maybe 43mpg with 15T. Both calculations are using Speedohealer corrected mileage.
All in all, life is good on the R6.
