FYI for the Aussies, there's a 5-page review on the FZ8 in today's AMCN. About to read it now.

Edit: finished - a very conservative article. "It's nice" is really the outcome! I guess it's going to take our own test ride to really determine what it's like.

Looks great, I'm not so sure about the seat, any FZ1 riders want to shed some light on how that seat feels on long rides?

I did two 500km days back to back, and it was the most comfortable seat I've ever experienced. And I've done some long stints on VFRs and other supposedly more comfy rides.

I've heard mixed feedback on the seat, but for some reason it must just fit my butt perfectly.

Ouch! look at the price! I think the Fazer is a very good bike, but for 30% more than the new Shiver or Street Triple! Even a Ducati 796 is cheaper in England by quite a bit. The GSX1250F undercuts it by almost 1000 pounds. Way over priced....not going to sell as well no matter how good the engine is.

The pipe is ugly, but otherwise like how it looks, especially in midnight black (just like my 6).

Bugger having to wait until August to see it here in Oz.
