A good jacket?

In need a suggestion for a good all around protective everyday jacket. I don't ride a lot once it gets below thirty, so this would be just for the warmer months.

I currently have a Joe rocket armored jacket I got six years ago with my first bike, but it is an XL and way too big on me. I find it acts like a sail with the wind, and the plates won't line up on my arms around the elbow. Speaking of which, if anyone wants it for a good price PM me. It's in great condition.

So, on suggestions, company and model along with price would be great.

My multi-season jacket is a Tourmaster Transition 3/4 length. It has loads of vents (bicep, shoulders, two large chest and a rear exhaust) and a snap for the collar in the open position which allows me to have the main zipper open some without getting hit with a flapping collar. When it's closed up it's good down to the 30s, when it's fully opened up it's comfortable in the 70s and ok into the 80s if you're moving. I've had it for two years and it's wearing well in my opinion. It comes in a large selection of colors.

The Tour Master Intake Series 2. It has 3 layers so it's nice and warm when it's cold out and the mesh outer layer is nice and cool when it hot out. I'm in Florida so I needed something really light and cool, This seemed to do the trick It's also one that's not gonna break the bank.

Seriously considering in saving up for the Motoport gear, read several reviews and it holds up great in cold or hot weather. Maybe I can set up a visit to Cali for some custom fitting

I just bought a scorpion burnout jacket from OpenDNS and i love it! It is well vented with a removable liner. It's a very good textile jacket for 100 bucks..

Really liking the look of this, especially because I can find it for $120.

One question: Does it have armor in the back as well as elbows?

I was in my local Hien Gericke shop last weekend... just looking, and tryig on stuff that i can't afford - lol... New guy in the store tried to flog me a £750 leather jacket.... said its like an investment... will last ya over 10 years...

I was like yeah, i'll have a think about it and get back to ya.... it did look good tho.

I think textiles are more convenient for my riding style - mainly motorway, all weather riding...

I'v got my eye's on this set-up... not sure if its available outside Europe [a bit pricey] - Hein Gericke (UK) Ltd.
