The lion one didnt make me near as nervous as the bike. Holy crap that put my heart in my throat.

I couldnt bring myself to hunt a big cat, only way would be defense. The car just scared the crap out of me.

The video regarding the R1. What saved his life was the decision to swerve rather than even attempting to brake. A lot of inexpereinced riders natural reaction is to brake, rather than swerve. Of course most of us would be insane to be riding like that except for the track.

But I really enjoyed the video. A great demonstration of how swerving can save your life!

Pretty incredible video. I'm personally against hunting - if done for fun. Not lecturing people who do it, I'd just prefer it if you ate what you hunted instead of just killing the animal for sport.

Each to their own though.

The R1 video - very skillful riding. I think in this case his speed helped him. Don't think the bike would have been quite so responsive if he was going slower.

+1 - I had something like this happen to me (albeit at a lower speed in traffic) but you are exactly right. I tried to slow down and barely made it even doing a full-on emergency stop. Upon reflection, I could have easily swerved and gone behind the car (or turned down the road the car was exiting). I try to keep that in the back of my mind if the situation comes up again.
