Mirror sag?

Hey guys,

One of my mirrors is losing it's hold. Whenever I hit a big bump, or over time, it will start to sag down. I haven't taken it off to see if there is a bolt that I'm able to tighten, but from looking at it I don't think so. Anyone else have this problem? If so how did you fix it? I'd rather not buy a new mirror, but it looks like I might have too.

I've noticed it a little, but I have a bad habit of hanging my helmet on them when its in the garage.

There is a bolt, and if I remember correctly a rubber boot too. Could be an issue.

Im not sure about a bolt, but I had a similar problem on my scoot... I used a hot glue gun to put a bead around the socket of the joint... cant see a thing and I cant stiull adjust the mirror...

Probably the bolt that holds the mirror stalk to the fairing stay has come loose. To get to that bolt, you have to remove the black plastic "dashboard" (aka "cowling"?). That is easy to do. Involves removing 10 bolts, can be done in about 5 minutes.

Or perhaps you are referring to looseness where the mirror is connected to the stalk. I don't know about that. I assumed you were talking about where the stalk connects to the fairing. That did get a little loose for me before, and the result was that the mirror vibrated more.

My mirrors pop in some because of the wind but they do have a stopping point. I just adjust them so this stopping point is set to what I need.

Yes, where the mirror attaches to the stalk. The adjustment point so to say, I know how to tighten the stalk to that fairing, that the easy part.
