1. speed off the ramp would not have given that much fling distance.

2. entering the pool at that speed and with that much forward momentum would have ripped the side of the pool out and destroyed a few bones as well no doubt.

Agreed; I also noted that two guys haphazardly splashed two pails of water at the top of the slide, no way did that water get all the way down, consistently. Still, fun to watch!
