Riding home from my favorite nightspot tonight and while in steady traffic a group of younger men pulls of next to me wanting me to "get on it" "wheelie it up", etc etc..I give them the friendly nod, slow down and get behind them probably 100 yards thinking they are drunk, and I dont want to be beside or in front them for them to play catch up with me in 25-30 mph traffic. At the next intersection they get in the turn lane to turn left I slow down to check the intersection, and then it happens BOOM! 32 ounce slurpie, squishy, freezie, whatever right to the helmet from their car window..how often do people throw stuff from cars? I've riden for a few years and this was a first for me, I kept my composure and all I could think of was to keep the bike up because it knocked me for a loop!

I would have gotten their plate number and reported it to the police or call 911 and tell them you are following them until a cruiser shows up.

What jerks.

cigarette butts can be lethal as well.....have also had a bottle chucked at me by drunks late at night, have had them try to rear end me, side swipe me....best thing to do is get the hell out of there as quick as you can, and if they chase, and you cant get away....stop somewhere as soon as possible where there are other people, this normally stops them, bully's are like that, will only take you on when you are outnumbered......get their number, and ring the police.

:(

by the way, glad you are ok, that is a horrible experience......the world is ful of idiots!

I was shot by a paintball gun, once. God damned did that hurt. Hit me right in the hand and made it bleed, even though I was wearing leather gloves. Make sure you guys are wearing good gloves, dammit.

I have been lucky I guess, to not have anything like that happen to me, but you did the right thing by NOT retaliating. Usually people who do stupid stuff like that will usually take another step further if you push them.

Glad you are OK.

A call to the police would be in order. Otherwise follow them and wait till they stop, then... unleash on them with whatever you have. throwing stuff a a motorcycle rider while driving is attempted murder on the rider. act accordingly.

A few years ago I had a jerk in a van try stuff with me.

Early hours riding out of town on a stretch of road the police often used to hang out on to catch speeders so keeping to a couple of mph over speed limit.

White van speeds up behind me and starts pushing then overtakes leaving virtually no gap, sounded my horn at him to warn him, and let him speed away.

Gets out into country, opens up to national speed limit and within a couple of miles I caught him up.

Next thing is pulls across the road as though going into a petrol station and stops dead. I stopped about 30 foot away to wait for him to get of way, next thing I see the feet of the passenger on the road (could just see under the van). Thinking this don't look good... the driver starts getting out, I nailed it and aimed for the gap between the curb and rear of van. Luckily for me I did as I passed noticed the passenger had a bloody crow bar, had my Bandit screaming for a few miles I can tell you. And no I wasn't hanging around to read the reg plate :)

Not to mention the old washer wipers... but hey, we know most cagers are oblivious...

Chillax, let karma do it's work...

After the initial holy **** wore off, that was my first realization was that I should have got they tag while I was behind them. Tulsa has roads that are divided by tree planters with 6 inch curbed medians. I had traffic behind me so I couldnt stop and I couldn't get turned around for a few blocks. I did have a description of the car and the guys, but on a Friday night you'll be lucky to get a cop if you're getting shot at here.

Saw a biker at a light beside some young punks...they musta said something 'cause he calmly put down the kickstand, got off the bike, walked over to the side of their car and nearly put his boot ride through the driver's door! Then he calmly walked back to the bike and rode off...:D

Morons.

I was riding my bicycle one day a car full of kids drive by and threw and empty beer bottle at me. It missed my head by inches. Then they sped off. Well it was my lucky day. Not only did the beer bottle not hit my but as I rode over the next hill a sherif was sitting in his car. I rolled up and explained what happened. About two miles later the sherif had the kids pulled over. I rode by and waved hello.
