Ok guys, I need help to identify this:
I changed my rear tyre yesterday, from Metzeler Z6 to Bridgestone BT021. When I removed the wheel, I found the axle to be somewhat stuck. I had to pound it all the way through to get it out. From the Haynes manual, it says "slide the axle out". No way that I could do that.
When fitting the wheel back on, the axle slid fairly easy. I had to pound it with my hand, but no need for brute force, so to speak. I tightened the bolts all around properly, and made sure the wheel was aligned.
Driving to work today, however, I noticed a buzzing sound around 70-80 km/h. To me, it sounded like a faulty bearing. I just can't imagine that it is the bearing, as the wheel spun fairly easy when the bike was still sitting on the depot stand.
So.. Any suggestions to what it might be? Could it be the tyre itself that makes that sound?
