SOQI is a subsidiary of Yamaha Motors which was recently renamed to Yamaha Powered Motorsports, I think. They manufacture suspensions for Yamaha.

Yamaha itself came up with the FZ6R not for the purpose of comparing it to the FZ6, but rather as a more beginner friendly bike. It's competitors are more like the GSX650F and Ninja 650. Again, not the FZ6. Why do we have to compare it to the FZ6 all the time and say this is what the FZ6 has that is better??? I am glad they have the FZ6R and I am glad I have an FZ6. The more choices the better! Kudos to Suzuki - how many 600-650cc bikes do they have? DL650, GSX650F, SVF650, SV650SF, GSX600R...
