I'm going to get a PUIG racing windscreen, in either black or blue. I'm having trouble visualizing it either way, but I can't seem to find any pics. Plz note that 06' has a black front tire-cover-thing (hugger, maybe?)

All opinions appreciated, any pics greatly appreciated.

Please a huge pardon to all the riders here that actually have the blue screen on thier bikes.

MY opinion is that it looks goofy. Go with the dark smoke or med smoke.

:welcome:

Dark Smoke

If you'd be happy wearing blue-tinted sunglasses, then go for the blue-tinted screen.
If not, then go with the dark smoke.
FZ6's, regardless of colour, really do accept black coloured or carbon-fibre accessories nicely. They really do compliment and balance out the black frame and wheels.

I've got a blue '06 and thought about the blue Puig for a minute before I realized it might be a bit TOO much blue. I recommend the dark smoke (which I have) or the black. But you wanted pictures of the blue Puig, and after a very fast search, this is all I could come up with...

The first picture is of my dark smoke Puig...and the other two are the two pictures I came up with. Not great angles, but you get the idea.

Ok, since when does anyone ACTUALLY look THROUGH their FZ6 windscreen while riding it?!?!?

Even if I lay down on the tank, I still see over the top of my PUIG. Heck, lots of people paint their screens.....because they don't look through them. One has to try very hard and go out of their way to get low enough to bother to look through it.

Only issue that your windscreen colour has other than esthetic's, is if you want to film through it with a video camera.

I say go with the black too!

I do.. not all the time, but when im going say 110mph or so, i do lay on the tank and like to be able to see out of the screen,...

id say black too.. i plan on this as well... :)

I've actually been thinking about changing out my dark smoke to a black too, LE, as my dark smoke has this weird spiderwebby thing going on right in the center of it (like something hit it). I don't think I've seen ANYONE that went with the black, though.

What I really wish someone would've made for the '04-'06 FZ6 is that matte black-type windscreen. I never look through my windshield so that wouldn't be a concern. But I think it would look pretty cool. I think someone does make one like that for the '07 and up, but obviously that wouldn't work for me.

oh wait.. i didnt know we were talking about black.. dark smoke is the farthest i would go, but black??? i dunno about that one...

Well, here's a couple of pics of blue on blue, even tho Steve thinks it looks goofy.:( Obviously, I like it. It probably has something to do with me spending 14 years in a US Air Force officer's uniform.

Actually, Jim, I really like that! Those are the clearest shots I've seen of the blue Puig on an FZ6 and it looks really good. BTW, does it fade from blue to either black or dark smoke down at the bottom, behind the speedo? I didn't realize the blue did that either, if in fact I'm seeing what I think I am.

I think you missed my point there, mate...;)
I was talking about the appearance of the blue-tinted sunglasses and the blue-tinted screen, not the ability to see/not see through it.

Here is a pic on the blue on my 05. You can see the color shift at the bottom. I like it.

Thanks for all the pics and opinions, I think I'm gonna have to go with dark smoke for now, but maybe later I'll buy another FZ6 and get a blue screen
