does anyone how high is too high? i think mine went close to 100c today (during city traffic). ambient temp was about 15c.

100c is 212f, which should be 4 bars on the 06 speedo right? That's normally when the fan comes on. That's normal for city traffic, especially if you do a lot of sitting still.

Fan kicks in around 105'C and off again around 95'C so 100'C is perfectly fine when stood in traffic. As the ambient rises expect to hear the fan kick in regular when in traffic.

My bike went to 113 c today because, the fan motor burned out and also the fuse popped, the fan motor does not spin freely anymore (dam!!!!!!)it's underr warranty though thank god!!!!
Oh ya and I also got a flattire today aswell, if it was not for bad luck I would not have any at all LOL!!!!! I only have 2700 I'm on the bike and Its only been registered two months. ARGHH!!!!

Your fan motor burned out in Vancouver... :jawdrop: Whoa!
Anyway did you have some debris lodged between the fan and radiator possibly?

Ya who knows what caused the fan motor to quit, but I know it worked a week ago because i was using the warn air to warm my hands at intersections in Washington State on our ride to oak harbour !!!!

There have been several instances of fan motors burning out on this bike. Usually this has been because a rock is kicked up and lands inside the fan casing and wedges between the fan blade and the radiator so that it cannot spin, then when the fan kicks on due to temp, the fan motor burns up. It is an inherant design flaw. Several members have proposed ways that this might be remediated. Do a search for related threads.
