Here we pay an insurance that is pretty much unlimited. Only applies for motorcycles. Doesn't matter if you ride all year round, or keep your bike winterized when it should(!) I pay something like 1000$ a year for my insurance. Full coverage.

Anyway: Do you really think you can start riding 1. March?? I had a quick look at the 10 day weather forecast for Copenhagen, and it states temps just above freezing the entire time... Kind of like in Oslo... And that sucks big time!

Dunno if you have the same amount of snow as we do, but it's freakin' much. It's like record breaking dephts. Hasn't been this much since the 1800's, and I read somewhere that the cold that we've had the last month may continue far into March:spank: One might wonder what happened to the global warming??? I would certainly welcome that right now....

Well,- I'm not in Copenhagen, - I'm located to the north near Aalborg Anyhow, the temps here should go into +4 - +6 and the night temps should stay above 0 from Sunday .....

So I'm hoping !!! (even though a look at the garden:

wow paying insurance sucks in other countries, and here in the US for some people. I have full coverage and I pay $250 a year, That is only about $21 a month. I live in southern illinois and this is the frist bike insured in my name.

My baby is now parked in her shed

Started her up for the first time since November last year, - and she displayed all of her charm right from the start
Took her like 8 minutes to get warm (I cant ride her until tomorrow, so she was running idle), and after that she settled down on 1200/1260 Rpm . I know it's a bit in the low end, but i will recheck her tomorrow when she´s been on the road for 30 minutes.

Cant wait !!!! Sunrise tomorrow I'm gonna be out there!!

When the salt washes off the road.

Yup, this is pretty much it for WI. Hard to say when this happens though since our weather has been odd lately. 40 and up is fair game. I would rather have to wash a little salt off the bike after the ride than not ride if the weather is cooperating.

The problem with all the salt on the road is the cloud of salt dust that follows all the cars.

I live in Michigan and have all year insurance.

I rode yesterday because it rained a few days and washed the salt off the rode. Still was only around 38-40ish degrees tho. Body was fine but I need new gloves bad.

Once it hits 50 or above ill be riding all the time. Maybe some 40s

I'm also in Michigan. I rode a bit yesterday and more today (about 100 miles....temps around 20-25F).

Brrrrrrrrr.....I need to get some warmer gloves. Mine are meant for spring/fall and they have no insulation! The heated grips make the difference between being cold and getting frostbite.
