Difference in Puig windscreens?

I've caught the mod bike for my '06, first is a new windscreen, but not sure which one i want. I've seen the racing screen that's a bit bigger than the standard one, but whats the puig standard one look like? Probably getting dark smoke. I did a search on the forum and came up with an insane amount of hits, but didn't really see both up close.

I've got a Puig double bubble in dark smoke.
You can't really see out of it, but unless you're short and like to be in a full tuck all the time it's not a problem.

The first question is Why do you want to change the screen?

I have the Puig double bubble and I am 5`9" tall. In all honesty for me there is not a lot of difference between the stock screen and the Puig, except that the Puig looks a lot better, in my opinion.

I think it all comes down to rider height as some of the taller guys think the Puig is much better than the stock.

If you are thinking that a slightly taller screen will give you more protection then you are probably wrong. Ask the guys with naked bikes, they do not get the buffeting we do.

I cut my stock screen down and it is much better than the stock screen and the Puig, especially for long rides. But the Puig looks the best, maybe !!

My first mod if I were you would certainly be sliders and then reshaping the stock seat.

Looks like i'm ordering the double bubble, ordering sliders while i'm at it. I've got a nice little list of stuff to do to the fizz when it finally gets warm again...new battery, windscreen, sliders on, replace the air filter and change the oil.

I've got the Puig standard on my 2006. It's light smoke. It's shape is almost exactly the same as oem, but the lower half is black fading into a light smoke top. I think it looks much better than the stock clear one because it covers up the ugly "dash" area. I'll take a pic tonight and post it on here.

Why are you replacing the air filter?

Are you getting new exhaust and power commander as well. If your not then you are pretty much spending money on something that you don`t need. What about that brick of a seat??

Replacing for 2 reasons. One, i'll already have the tank off when I replace the battery so killing 2 birds with one slingshot. 2, putting in the K&N as its washable and i've already got one in my Jeep, so sticking with what I know works. May do exhaust and power commander later, but its not at the top of the list.

That is a lot of huggies! Thanks, i've been wanting to compare the two. Thinking I like the double bubble look, but the nice thing about motorcycle superstore is you can return it if you don't like it, in which case i'll just order the standard one. Getting dark smoke.
