I was watching a show that had custom painted bikes and then i had a thought. What would you think the FIZZER would look like all Stainless Steel or brushed aluminum. Just an idea but tempting.

Saw a similar paint scheme on a hotrod, but think if done well it'd look SICK on an FZ... It's a custom paint solid color in the back and the front looks like an aircraft with sheetmetal (appearance) with (Painted) rivets and the paint seemingly peeled back by the extreme force of the wind blowing past at extreme speeds... Hard to explain... Get the picture? Looked totally sick!!! Front= painted to look like sheetmetal, middle=paint apparently peeling back due to friction with air, back solid custom paint... Looks amazing on a deuce coupe!!!

I love the arts but that CBX is the most retarded thing I have ever seen. As for a stainless or brushed look for the FZ? I think it would look pretty cool.

On the ugly CBX - break forming sheet metal is much easier than contour forming. All you need is a vise & a hammer & you too can be a custom bike builder!

A stainless steel would come close to the Metallic Silver, would it not?

INOX Stainless Steel Honda CBX Custom

Was it designed to avoid radar detection with all that angular lines
What about the seat, its painfull just looking at it.

i was watching a n old movie and i saw a motorcycle in a mix between a SS and Brushed Nickel. The look i want to do or i think i want to do is like this. There are sheets of stainless steel and it look like someone took a wheel grinder to it and it gave a swirly kinda look, i like it but as i think of the amount of time and labor let alone the fabricating that would be need to be done, i think That might me a waste of time.

UNfortunately I couldn't find the original article about that CBX. Despite the odd looks, there's some really cool stuff going on there. For instance, there's a flatscreen LCD built into the top of the tank that displays all the bike's instruments and vital signs.

There are no buttons on the handlebars. Not externally, at least. All you see is little circles where you touch your finger to activate the horn, turn signals, starter, etc. You see, the controls are also stainless, and magnetic fields will pass through the stainless to the regular steel buttons inside, activating them. And the builder made up a set of gloves with little magnets in the fingertips. So you can't steal the bike unless you mug the owner for his gloves.

The angularity is a bit odd, but I like it!

As for a stainless steel FZ6, it would be shiny like that and weigh several hundred pounds more than stock. Stainless is heavy!
