Finally picked mine up today as I chosse to pick mine out of the catalog rather than picking one from the shelf. Still got 25% off, so it cost me $325 or $364 with tax.
One thing I noticed between my new RF-1000 and my Scorpion EXO-700 is that the gap between the chin guard and visor between your face is much smaller. This is making the visor more proned to fogging up from normal breathing. I can pretty much reach the chin guard by kissing it with my lips . The Shoei seems to be a lot lighter and quieter though.

I noticed the exact same things vs. my KBC. I bought a medium but I wonder if I should have bought a large. I can't wear the breath guard becuase it press on my nose. And you are correct, much lighter and quiter too
I really like the helmet so far and it is breaking in nicely.

If the medium sits properly on your head and it isn't painful, don't get a larger size. It just won't be as snug as it should be.

Nope, it's called "Breakthrough" Not sure when the design came out but its been out for a while.
