Personally, I feel that it should be illegal to fly any other flag other than the stars and stripes anywhere except places where its appropriate (foreign embassies, etc).
Excuse my language on this bit, but if they like their god damn country so much they want to fly a flag for it, why are they here? Go the hell home.
In the UK if someone flies the George Cross (english flag) or Union Flag (UK flag) they are seen as some far-right racist nazi nutter. Or a footballist. Either way not something attractive. The government is embarrassed to promote England and sees patriotism as the aforesaid nazism. Sad state of affairs isn't it.

In the last world cup, my local authority passed a law making it illegal to fly the George cross. As they did not want to increase racial tension.
