going off on a slight tangent here..the amount of genuine accesories on their website is fantastic,i never new there was so much stuff ..i only ever found heated grips,BUT thanks to you ive discovered sub categories.hmm sub-categories (in a homer simpson style)

Back on topic..it appears there is another country other than UK that persercutes bikers ..small plates and no reflector on tail tidy/FE seems to be the biggest issue over here

This is the most screwed up piece of garbage i've heard in long time , something so pi$$ weak that doesnt even raise a cent of revenue.....I fail to see how this is a safety issue , can someone please point it out to me....Let me take a guess and say , new young copper fresh out of the academy , head full of rules & laws to make the boss happy :disapprove:..... There is a similar thing going on with my mate and his R1 at the moment so im going to have to stop typing as im starting to boil over , just in case i start using some not to appropriate language........ I'll shoot you a PM Jamie and show you how the Microns work with the OEM fender , there might be something you can copy off it :thumbup:..... It's worth a try....

Fortunately I am an FTO(Field Training Officer) and I can actually make a difference in some of this type foolishness. I know it is the LAW, but you can overlook some things I train my rookies that people are human and make mistakes, the majority are honest, hard working people. Police officers have the right to discretionary prosecution and some things are better left alone. Now when you run across that total jack@$$ that gives a crap less about laws and everyone else's right to live a happy life...... That is another story

They did the exact same thing here last summer too,but that time it was reflectors not the angle of the FE.

Good thing I don't have my Z1000 anymore,the plate on that was mounted up inside the ducktail with no rear guard at all !

The cop was not a "young Buck", quite the opposite...he looked to be at least 50 years of age!!!!

He was very smug...and knew that the bike would get a thorough going over at inspection, re all the mods....you know, he did not even know what brand the bike was, or how many CC's the engine was.....

Have been told this morning, that this was not the only location that a similar "operation" was carried out in Adelaide, yesterday!

I prefer not to get angry, but to get it fixed, so i can ride again...

Not sure how this would look or if it can be done with the eliminator you have, but if you still have the factory fender you could cut it and fit it to the 2 Brothers eliminator.

No you can ride the bike for 72 hours after the ticket. In this time, you are meant to fix it, ring Regency, and make an appointment for inspection.

If you have fixed it, and they cant put it through for say 6 weeks, then you take your booking number, go to the cop shop, get them to see that you have fixed it, and they will stamp your defect notice, and let you ride the bike till the day of inspection!

By the way, i have to take PC111 off the bike as well!

No, cause that is "track use" only!!! As is a 520 chain & sprocket conversion, as is any indicators that are less than 30cm apart, as are chromed wheels (polished ok), as are briaded lines, without protective sheafing, as are after-market mirrors!

Well not really, brakes, rear-sets, etc, should be fine, but there are a few peculilarity's involved, re what is ok, and what is not...

I am philosophical about it, just treatinmg as another way to get to know my bike even better...a chance to tinker.

I am sure it will all sort itself out, just play the game, and bat on, i reckon.

I reckon that's the go.:thumbup: although I did suggest a big455 truck mudflap that drags on the ground......cover it with reflectors too:Flip:.

I think that some of the FEs tend to move the number plate higher and even in some cases change the angle of it which may cause issues with radar camera photography. This could be one of the reasons.

As for the Mudguard, was thinking of just getting a piece of black plastic, and screwing it to the number plate!

This is so stupid, it defies logic, why? I have seen at least 20 cars since Sunday, without mudguards, oh and a few trucks....go figure!
