Do you smoke cigarettes?

Man...... I dig smoking, don't regret it one bit. Smoke because I want to, not because I'm stuck. Its a conscious decision every time, and I love it every time. Never once have I taken a drag, or pulled at the \"reds\" and said, dammit, I need to stop, or dammit, I shouldn't be doing this. I think, dammit, this is good - momma may I have another.

Smoking during drinking, after sex, after eating, and best of all after carving up a canyon stretch of road chilling with your riding buddies, is truly satisfying.

Hey, anybody got a smoke? :)

Hey! You sound like me until 6 weeks ago. I always said I would quit smoking at the first sign of age BECAUSE of smoking, not til then. 6 weeks ago I woke up with a little line above my lip (you know those smokers lines that go straight up?) I quit that day...looked later in the afternoon and the line was gone....I musta slept funny and got a crease lol But I kept on quitting. I figure it was the scare I needed.

I quit once for about 8 months, I started again the day I broke my leg and been smoking since. recently switched brands though, Marlbros were getting too expensive so I started buying Seneca's from a no-tax indian smoke shop. $15 a carton vs $42

I would quit again, but I was taught growing up DON'T BE A QUITTER!!!:D

I've smoked for 10 years but my quit date is this coming Monday, my employees are NOT looking forward to it. I'm currently on the "buy cigarettes you hate" part of the transition, then turning to the patch and commit lozenges for emergency use. Chantix is a no, I don't want the chance of suicidal depression that comes with it! They just outlawed public smoking in PA (sorta) so that should help the cause. My two main bar hangouts still allow it though, I forsee some cheating at some point because of that. Wish me luck.

Austin: ... What?
Goldmember: A smoke and a pancake. You know, a flapjack and a cigarette? No?
Austin: [shakes head]
Goldmember: Cigar and a waffle? No?
Austin: [shakes head]
Goldmember: Pipe and a crepe? No?
Austin: [shakes head]
Goldmember: Bong and a blintz? :)
Austin and Nigel: No.
Goldmember: Well, then there ish no pleashing you.
Austin: That's not right.

Goldmember: [picking skin off his back] Ooh yes. Yes-yes-yes-yes. This is a keeper.
Dr. Evil: All right, you're not going to put that skin in your mouth, are you?
Goldmember: [eats piece of skin]
Dr. Evil: You did. Okay, that's just gross.
Mini-Me: [cringes and shakes head]
Goldmember: [clapping] Yes, salty. Yes, that was good.

My nationality is dutch/indonesian so this is my favorite movie quote:

"Hey, everybody! I'm from Holland! Isn't that veird? "

Ok, sorry - back to topic smoking rocks!!!!!!! :)

Have you ever seen old ladies that have about 50 little lines going straight up from their lip? like .5 cms long? makes em look like they are puckering up. Those are smokers lines. (also makes your lipstick "bleed" but I'm SURE your never noticed that lol)

hmm, I guess you can learn something new every day - never noticed any of that Steph. But remember those lines can come from sucking and puffing on something else too :) - jstein95 can probably attest to this - she is a professional skinflute player ha ha.

OK, I gave up smoking...I don't think I can take quitting anything else :rof:

You won't be able to quit if your already planning when you can cheat.
Not having a go at you, there is definitely a right time to quit. Maybe this isn't your right time.

You should give Chantix a shot if you really want to quit. It did not make me suicidal or others who were successful.

Yep I'm aware of the issue there, not feeling great about it either. I quit for 5 months once, felt great, came back to PA for a while and the bars did me in. Once you cheat it's over IMO. BUT I'm still going to try. Even if it doesn't last it's better than the alternative. My problem was running out of commit lozenges when drinking at a smoky bar, I'll try to always have them on me for emergency situations like that. Couple of days to go... ugh
