Homebrew Camera Mount

Here are photos of a homemade camera mount I just added to my bike. I got the parts from a local hardware surplus store and off an old tripod. Just posting this to share ... since the design is not easily copied. Got the HD camera on the eBay Daily Deal for about $60. It still takes good movies but the display has gone bad.

Nice looking mounting system.
I wonder how the photo/video comes out, hope we can see some results later on.

The brackets are hardened steel, and came from an assembly used in aircraft. So the up-down at the camera mount point is minimal. Bigger problem is the camera rocking side to side in the wind. I'm going to secure it with a small bungee cord to see if that helps.

I'll take a movie over the holiday and post.
