Why do you love your FZ6 so much? 3 reasons?

Ok, i was out riding tonight on my touring FZ6...with a full top box (40kg's of music!), a full tank bang (about 10kg's), my son on the back (56kg's), and of course myself...and i was marvelling at how well this much under-rated, and un-acknowledged low price, no frill middleweight bike, handles it all with such ease and grace...

Then on the weekend, i was riding the bling machine, with all it's go fast bits, and was marvelling at how nice the FZ6 is in the Twisties...

And the FZ6 is pretty decent in the Twisties straight out of the box anyway!

My love affair with the "Little Fizzer" as it could be called is complete, and i have 100's of reasons why i like the thing's so much...but i started wondering what other people love about their fizzer!

Here's my top 3 reasons why i love the FZ6!
1. Versatility - The bike can tour, scratch, & commute....all with relative ease!

2. That motor - Nice and calm in touring, or commuting mode below 8000rpm, arm tearingly "beasty" above 8000rpm...

3. Reliabilty...ever heard of a Fizzer blowing up!

As you can see I'm pretty cheap, and the FZ fits that trait perfectly.

I loved mine so much because it could whip up on a Vmax stoplight to stoplight and in the twisties.

It just LOOKS sexy.

And best of all I loved the looks I got when people saw a chick with ponytails on a sportbike instead of a Harley or V-Star that all the girl around here drive!

For me...i can't own a bike that doesn't handle more than well. I expected the FZ6 to handle half decent....but honestly..i NEVER expected it to handle as good as it did with old hard tires and junk suspension. I put new tires on it right after i bought it used and holy crap...this thing handles way better than i thought. I picked up an Ohlins for the rear and i plan the R6 fork conversion before the summer is over.

So for me...

1. handling has to be good
2. better than average brakes
3. silky engine

The only drawback is the on/off throttle jerkyness....and i'm certain that i can fix it or at least make it tolerable.

Why do I love my fz6?? Well for 1. it's naked, very cool 2. Not a high bike which makes it easier for my 5'6" frame lol. 3. NO men actually expect a girl to get off one. 4. Has everything I want in a bike and I have had a few believe me. 5. Enough punch for my liking hahaha 6. Front wheel pops up very nicely thank you very muchly
