Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone has come across the issue of fuel pouring out of their exhaust. I have a 08 FZ6N and while bike is running it pours fuel out of the little hole in the exhausts thats usually for condensation. There is enough fuel coming out to make me to worried to ride it to a shop. Also checked oil and it is full of petrol also ? Any ideas ???

Cheers

First off, DO NOT RUN THE ENGINE, PERIOD..

Over filled with oil/gas will cause major damage inside besides the obvious explosive danger..

Rent a trailer, small truck or have the shop pick it up...

Generally, a fuel injector will/may leak and cause a rise in the oil level.

With what your describing, it's worse than that.

Please post what they find.

BTW, ANY new work, mods, etc done to the bike, ANYTHING???

Can you please give some extra detail about engine is full of petrol?

Engines ran for repeated short durations will have a petrol smell to the oil. That is not uncommon.

Was the oil fill level actually above your normal check height?

On that same note; as the duration of sit time increases, so does the quantity of condensation in the engine and exhaust.

Mine sat for the last two months and when fired off spat water out the exhaust for 5+ minutes... Are you positive its petrol?

Injectors rarely stick open, although its not impossible, its unlikely.
Hint; if one were leaking enough fill the engine it would NOT IDLE.... When this event occured, could the engine idle?
