    GoPro mounting on a 2007 FZ-6

Post it, yes. Would love to see some more mounting options.

    GoPro mounting on a 2007 FZ-6

boarder4life81 -- look at my photos. Is that mount thicker on the bottom than a regular RAM MOUNT for handlebars? I pondered moving the existing one today and/or adding a second one on the other side, but the throttle and electric cables looked in the way.

    GoPro mounting on a 2007 FZ-6

So I gave the RAM MOUNT suction cup mount a go on the tank, and I was impressed at the outset -- much better view... FIRST TANK POSITION This was the first position I tested, but the mount was never secure... SECOND TANK POSITION this seemed to work better, and I was able to get a clean...

    GoPro mounting on a 2007 FZ-6

I am having the toughest time finding 1/16 bony coated steel cable / rope to craft a few tethers for the camera. Tried Lowes. Will hit the Home Depot tonight. Should I be looking at an Ace Hardeare for this sorta thing? I really want to make my own for flexibility's sake.

    where to mount my GoPro?

I'm mounting mine on the handlebars and/or with the suction mount on the tank. I've only video'd from the handlebars so far, and I found that I need a longer arm to center the shot when the mount is next to the clutch. The windscreen is a mess -- I realized I can barely see through it with the...

    GoPro mounting on a 2007 FZ-6

Welp. I got the GoPro mount yesterday -- RAM 1" Ball with Custom GoPro® Hero Adapter -- used this evening on a surface street drive only. I used the handlebar mount (next to the clutch assembly). The standard arm that I'd been using with my RAM MOUNT X-Grip (for phone / GPS -- RAM Universal...

    GoPro mounting on a 2007 FZ-6

I went ahead and bought the $11 GoPro screw mount with ball for RAM MOUNTS. I have a RAM MOUNT on my left handlebar for an X-Grip. I guess if I'm not being stupid and turning the bike with the handlebars vs. leaning it / countersteering, the video should be pretty stable. Is anyone using the...

    GoPro mounting on a 2007 FZ-6

Doesn't the handlebar clamp move around left to right a lot though? I'd probably want a fixed video point for daily use during a commute, or even a consistent shot for a long tour.

    GoPro mounting on a 2007 FZ-6

Been a while since I posted here. Work + baby + crappy weather in Atlanta. I managed to snag a GoPro Hero 3+ Silver this week and have been evaluating mounting options for my 2007 FZ-6. I'd like some input here, as the only other related post I found seemed to include 1-2 recommendations for...

    Stock front turn signal broken

Sorry to necro an older thread, but can you just do that? Drop in LED equivalent bulbs into the stalk flashers? I've been searching around for bulbs that would do this. I'd prefer NOT to have to add the relays for proper flashing if I didn't have to. I have a 2007 model FZ6.

    US recommended insurance coverage

I ended up going with Progressive through USAA in GA. Not much more than Allstate, and I got a better accessory coverage out of the box. Also better property damage coverage.

    Moto Insurance Rates 2015 (USA/NJ/BASIC)

The latest Progressive quote sounds in line with what I just got for Atlanta. Try upping the liability to the next tier. Above 100/300/50. For me it didn't have any affect on the quote with Progressive.

    Heated Grips?

The Oxfords are a steal at $80US -- sometimes less. I've debated getting them in lieu of yet another set of gloves.

    US recommended insurance coverage

So does $241 -- $20/month or so -- sound about right for those coverages in an urban area with a new married / parental rider age 40?

    US recommended insurance coverage

Well -- that's a bit of a relief. I'm paying $200 w/ house and auto insurance with Allstate, and I've been with them WAAAAAY too long. Never any reductions in premiums. Hence why I HAD wanted to move to USAA for all my insurance, starting with motorcycle. However, this Progressive thing -- I...

    US recommended insurance coverage

Long time since I've posted. Being a new dad will do that. Plus, crappy winter weather in GA. I'm shopping new insurance companies, and I realized I didn't pay much attention to the coverage that I currently have: Bodily injury / property damage liability -- $100K / $300K Uninsured...

    Looking for a new jacket.

My experience with the cheaper Tourmaster gear has been fine for e past 1.75 years. I'd probably move up to Firstgear or Rev'It if I had the $$$ to buy he pricier stuff.

Cheap levers -- is this typical?

Loosened up the OEM bushing and get it free with needle nose pliers. Uncertain if it's worth toying with this second set of Chinese levers of the bushing fit is so bad. The OEM over was much looser. I'm at least returning the first set tot the eBay retailer.
