The fz6 is able to bump-start, tryed it several times and a friend of mine too on his bike.
There is always a little charge on the battery left, that is sufficient. It may not crank the motor, but its enough to give the command to the ecu.
The trick is to put it in 3rd gear, let go of the...
@abraxas
I agree that lane splitting is dangerous. But it's not a matter of feeling "easier", it's more a 1.30 hour commute (by car, or, without lane splitting, bike) compared to a half-hour trip with lane splitting... which would you choose?
PS: These are actual numbers here in Athens. We have...
I have to say that I am very pleased with the HEL brake lines. I chose the racing configuration (2 separate lines, one for each caliper). Together with fresh fluid and brand new EBC HH brake pads, I felt a huge difference... Lesser effort is needed to get the stopping power I need (I use 2...
I lane split all the time.. There is no other way of commuting here in Athens..
I don't know if its legal, but it is tolerated. I rarely use the hard shoulder (the emergency lane) because it's dangerous.. cages are turning right without looking in the right mirror and also there is a lot of...
I don't think that's crazy at all!
Here in Greece where I work, a couple of weeks ago it was snowing, about 1C (33.8 degrees Fahrenheit), but I drove here and back...
Just be careful to drive on the same tracks as the cages, since there is less likely to hit a slippery ice-patch.
Avoid the outer...
I never thought that there was an distinction between Xenon and HID..
On ebay it stated on the title, Hid and xenon, so I thought it's the same thing. This is the kit I bought, it seems like the HID bulbs you stated above.

However, I can...
Thx Motogiro for the helpful reply!
In fact, a while ago, I actually noticed this strange behavior (the alarms not working) when I switched only the tail light blinkers to LED, but never paid to much attention to it, as I thought I did something wrong with the connections...
:S
I also changed the OEM blinkers with LED, but I didn't mind about the higher flashing rate..
On the contrary, it makes turning more noticeable from other drivers.
Is there any other reason to install a flasher, other than to decrease the flashing rate?
I'll post pics as soon as I manage to get Hi-Beam :D
I don't think that it's the wiring, because when I press the Hi-Beam, the little blue light on the speedometer (indicator of Hi-Beam on) is coming on, and the light bulb moves back and forth as it should when I hold it in my hands... (believe...
It's a good oportunity to find yourself and focus on what really matters in life.
Here in Greece we say "every obstacle is for something good"...
So the only thing you have to do, is to keep your optimism und your positive way of thinking, and everything around you will sort it's self out...
I have the naked fz6, it didn't came with a centerstand. So I bought one and installed it!
It's very convenient when it comes to minor maintenance, I will never remove it, I love it :D
It was a PITA to lube the chain and clean the bike...
It may weight much, but it's worth it IMO.
Hallo everyone,
yesterday I received my Hi/Low bi-xenon kit for my fz6 naked bike and, with the help of my bro, managed to install it. (the installation was very time-consuming and difficult).
However, I run into a strange problem. The Hi-beam doesn't work when its installed in the...
Nice work there degake! Looks clean and neat!
I ordered a simple bi-xenon hid kit from ebay without the projector, and I wondered how and where exactly did you place the ballast and the ignitor?
Did you remove the airbox? How did you fixed them in place?
If you have more photos please post...
I've got also a mini screen for the summer, secdem bullster, but its primarily for the looks.
If you want serious wind protection, you have to go with a big ugly one.
The parking light is actually red, it only looks orange in the pic :D
I didn't have any legal issues with the red bulb here in...
There is a slight possibility that the immobilizer got de-programmed. I've heart of such a case here in Greece. I'm not sure how they solved it, put it has something to do with the red key and re-programming the black key.
I don't know how it works, but if everything else fails, you might want...
I bought my Leos from Ebay. They came with de-cat pipe, removable db-killers and free Bmc air filter..
The only problem I have is the common idle surge when I remove the db-killers
@Motogiro, the bike has the catalytic converter still on. I've tried it in the past without it, but there was no difference, idle is still rough. Plugs are as good as new.
@TownsendsFJR1300, I have also replaced the stock air filter with a bmc. Do you use your stock or an aftermarket on your...
