What is the top speed for our FZ6?

Yes. The mirrors were folded and I was trying to sit as aerodynamically as possible behind the fairing. With the mirrors up I couldn't go past 220 km/h measured by gps/radar so little things start to matter in higher speeds....

What is the top speed for our FZ6?

I've done 244 indicated, 224km/h measured with radar and GPS. This was on a closed runway and was pretty much the fastest it would go with 6 test runs.

    FJ-09/ MT-09 TRACER Official

Yes, you have to remove the seat. It detaches separately from the rear seat. There are two slots for the front of the seat and a two-position plastic frame under the seat whose position determines the seat height.

    FJ-09/ MT-09 TRACER Official

Yes, there are two positions for the front of the seat + 2 for the rear, these combine to three usable positions. Low front, low rear, low front, high rear, high both, at least this is how I understood it. I think we spent 20 minutes or so trying to find all the working combinations with the...

Fizzer6, did you try the lower positions? The highest one was perfect for 6' height (32" inseam for pants for me) and there are three seat heights available.

    FJ-09/ MT-09 TRACER Official

Saw the bike in the local shop today. Looks much better proportioned in person than in photos. The riding position with the seat in high position = excellent, reminds me of new R1200GS and the recent Duc Multistrada. Suspension feels sturdy enough standing still. The downside: Finnish price...

    FJ-09/ MT-09 TRACER Official

This would fix two of the four problems I have with the FZ6: Too high pegs and too narrow and low handlebar for long distance riding :) The other two being the lack of torque and weak suspension. No lack of torque on the MT09 engine though and the suspension should be better according to this...

Rental bike trip in Southern Spain

Two helmet cam clips from the trip: Nice road north of Malaga with a BMW R1200GS Road A-7000 More comfortable and more stable in switchbacked corners. Very relaxed riding position in the BMW and lots of leg room. I have noticed some unnerving frame/fork flexing with FZ6 in very tight corners...

Rental bike trip in Southern Spain

The trip is almost at its end now. I returned the bike with 1470km today so km quota was very close to the limit. Will fly back to Finland tomorrow morning. Rest of the trip will be covered then + I'll try to upload photos and helmet cam clips later. A great trip overall, it's a bit sad to go...

Rental bike trip in Southern Spain

Ozgurakman: pics in the links :) Dainese: 300km per day seems enough for me since some of the roads are so slow that I have usually been on a day trip for 6-7 hours including pauses and stayed within the 300km limit. Lähetetty minun GT-I9506 laitteesta Tapatalkilla

Rental bike trip in Southern Spain

Yesterday I went to see Gibraltar, very beautiful place. Then back via the mountains, lots of interesting little roads there once again. Today: To Ronda via A-397, a very nice road with lots of fast twisty corners. Seems to be the favourite road for local bikers too, as there were lots of crotch...

Rental bike trip in Southern Spain

Today's trip: Malaga - A-7000 to Colmenar, maybe the best part of the day. Very fast.... Then to Rigordo, Benamargosa, Almachar, Benalgabon and back to Fuengirola via the highway. Today was maybe even better than yesterday now that I know how to handle this bike. There was lots of very slow and...

Rental bike trip in Southern Spain

So, today's trip was Fuengirola-Ronda (via A366, a very nice though a bit slow and at times scary 1 1/2 lane road on the mountain sides) - Gaucín (via A-369, a bit faster but still very twisty) then to Estepona and back to Fuengirola along the coastline. Total ~260km. The temperature varied from...

Rental bike trip in Southern Spain

I know it has been a bit of of a silent period with my trip reports now, but now it is time to be back. I still have my FZ6s in my garage, but this time it will be the water cooled R1200GS for six days. Just arrived here in southern Spain today, stay tuned.... Hope it is not off topic this way...

The “O-ring” thread, a useless thread that won’t solve anything!

I had the same happen to my DID x-ring chain. After the one ring ( :D ) got lost at about 10tkm, it developed a stretched part to that area of the chain and now at ~15tkm mark it looks like it is time for a new chain. The original o-ring DID lasted for 40tkm.... I have only used Motul On-road...

    Forum group rides in Europe!

Recently we've had quite a good participation in Oulu, Finland for moottoripyora.org Finnish forum group rides. There has been a few of these and here was one from last Thursday: I was soo happy to lead the pack! Total of 17 bikes. It was my first time to lead a group ride and I heard no...
