This may be a dumb question but did you remove everything to apply the plasti-dip to each part? just wondering if there's some way to tape around to avoid having to disassemble stuff... looks awesome btw!

I tend to do a fair amount of long distance touring so the idea of a built in sun visor really appeals to me. The new Shoei GT-Air seems really nice, but I guess I'm also debating the cost issue... I can get the Exo-1100 for half the price, and as far as I can make out most of the negative...

The best theft deterrent i've ever seen was a bike that was painted entirely in pink, i mean the whole thing... nobody was gonna touch that thing. But then, I suppose that solution has its own set of issues :D

Problem solved! As I'd suspected, it was a pretty simple fix.. turned out it was that red and white wire that Motogiro had pointed me to on top of the battery. I had checked the wire and both sides of the connector unplugged - but turns out one of them, although totally clean and uncorroded...
