What do you think of this music?

One of the guys in Sketch Bros. is a friend of mine from way back. I think this song has the potential to be a breakthrough hit for them (but I can't judge it fairly, I know him)...what do you think?

I thought the same thing, but it seems like most music that makes it big is like that. Eminem etc.

There is no real 'catch' or 'hook'. Nothing to draw you into the song and make me want to listen to it again. It feels like it's been done before. There are a few songs outside of my normal listening style / taste that I still like because of an irresistible hook or turn of phrase.

Not hard enough to be rock not catchy enough to be pop. Sounds over-produced. There are thousands of bands out there but they need to stand out and right now this song isn't it.
