Replace your Radiator Fan Fuse!!!

If you are blowing a 20a fuse, you will most certainly blow the 10a. You need to find what is restricting the fan or the short (if there is one). People have reported that rocks can get jammed in the fan causing the fuse to blow.

I put a 25 amp in there lol it works now but the person who put work into this bike messed it up cuz the fan is touching the rad

If you put a 25 amp in you're defeating the purpose of a fused circuit which is designed to protect components and wiring. The main fuse for the entire bike is 30 amp so you essential near using the main fuse, Do not use a 25 amp! Find out what's broken. If the fan hits the radiator, current in the motor will rise and blow the fuse and eventually the fan will cut through a cooling channel and hurt the radiator.
If it aint broke, don't fix it.
It's is broke so.....

Yeah, solve the problem, don’t create a new one. I’d much rather replace a feeble fan than an entire wire harness.

Many folks are aware of the fan burning up due to to large a fuse.

The two issues are:

#1, the fuse doesn't blow immediatly IF the fan gets jambed up.

#2, The space between the radiator and the fan ALLOWS small debris/pebbles/rocks, etc to get up inbetween the fan and the radiator.

Even if you put in a lighter fuse and it saves your fan, you still have a blown fuse and no fan at that time.

I would strongly suggest, to solve both issues, just put a guard at the bottom of the radiator to keep debris from getting kicked up causing the problem in the first place..

If your even slightly handy with a tin snips, pick up a piece of galvanized ducting sheet metal, cut and bend up something (see below pictures) to stop any debris from getting in there.

Even if you can get some heat resistant silver (actual, home, air conditioning SILVER, duct tape) you could fold it up several times and literally just tape it the rear edge of the lower radiator.. can't get much cheaper than that...

The center, (and only hole) , bolts in-between the lower mount and rubber grommit. The long part
fills the gap be-tween the radiator and plastic fan housing.

So basically something like this...the cut out portion has a hole drilled through it & bent at a 90 degree angle to connect to. Easy enough.
