I have developed a little oil leak. Head gasket looks damp over by #4. Have been checking the oil level since i first noticed it and about 2 weeks ago and no measurable loss of oil. Bike runs great so dont think i have any loss of compression. Checked the torque of the 2 Allen heads and took a little nudge to get them to 8.5 but easily could have been in the margin of error for the wrench. Figure i will replace the head gasket but hoping to wait till off season.
Bike has 52k miles and did the valve adjustment 2 years ago. Replaced the cct last year with new gasket.

Anyone see this before?

Never seen it here before.

Just for S & Gs, you might want to de-grease that area real good and make sure it's not running down from the valve cover or anywhere else...

The CCT gasket is just above that area. As that was just changed, I'd look real hard at that area before yanking the head.

And, if it is leaking from that area, it's "far" from #4 cylinder, the cam chain is right there, the piston-in way further.

I did wash and degrease and nothing dripping from the valve cover. Agree about the cct. Will order cct anx timing cover gasket and replace.
