OK so quick backstory, took my bike to the track a couple weeks ago. While I managed not to wad it up on the track, I had an issue with how it was strapped back down for the ride home. Net result was the entire right side of my fairings were broke to shyt.

I checked RonAyers.com but am confused by which parts I need. I brought up the microfiche and it shows to part numbers for my main fairing. In the description it says "UR FOR BS4" or another different number that says "UR FOR DPBML" What the hell do these mean??

I would really like to get my baby put back together and I don't wanna buy the wrong part and try and hassle with the return and exchange process.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm also providing a link the microfiche to help.

The letters refer to the color code as the fairings come painted.
DPBML is Deep Purple Blue Metallic
BS4 is Bluish-Silver?
To be sure I would call Ron Ayers before ordering.

Ok so I'm a little confused. Are they talking about the color schemes on the whole bike or are they talking about just the fairing??

Here's a pic of my bike, hopefully it helps.

The inner (bigger) fairing piece is a different color for each of the color schemes offered in '05. The BS (bluish silver?) parts should match your bike. I have the same color scheme, and had to replace my main fairing piece as well. Call Ron Ayers to confirm the right part, or check with Yamaha's parts guy to make sure and then order the parts from RA.

There is a white sticker under the seat which gives the colour code for your bike.

It contains the model code, the production code and the colour code.

Mine says 5VX1-110-B which means South African model, colour DPBML or Dark Purplish Blue Metallic L.

UR means that the specified part number will be in the specified colour, eg UR for DPBML.
