Anyone have any tips for touring with a naked bike? I rode 1200km over the Canada day long weekend and could barely turn my neck from side to side by the time I got home. It wasn't too bad through the mountains at 80-90km/hr but the highway at 120+ was pretty painful and was slow going. Certainly the stock seat needs to go, but what about a temporary windshield just for touring to save my neck & back? Am I wasting my time even trying or can it be done?

I hope to take a 2,500 km (1500mile) trip over 7 days in August, but I'm guessing that's not too wise without making some changes. FYI this is my first bike, so I don't know any better!

You're going to have to deal with it. The fairing and windscreen were some of the design aspects that attracted me to the FZ6. I would never take it off!
